Resources include: grammar teaching, reading materials, independent activities, English units of work and much more.
I am always trying to create new and exciting things for the children I teach and will share as much as I can with you. Some things are specific for my school and/or class but I will make each item editable so you can adapt it to your needs.
Thank you in advance for purchasing my resources and I hope they help you in your teaching.

Spelling Bee Mats for Year 6 linked to the No Nonsense Spelling Scheme and National Curriculum for the year group.
Each week the children will have a number of spelling lessons where they will learn different spelling rules and techniques they can use at school and home. The mats provide the children with set words to learn at school and home and will be randomly tested on a selection of these words periodically. The mats are designed to support teaching and learning at home. They should be sent home at the beginning of term and learnt alongside spelling lessons.
The white words cover the spelling rules outlined in the National Curriculum but are broken down for each term. The spellings include 15 words that are highlighted in a “honey” colour. These words are from the National Curriculum statutory word list for the year group. At the end of each term, the children will be tested on all of the words (over a few days) to assess how well they have learnt them and to see whether any of the spelling rules need to be revised.

Spelling Bee mats for KS2 (Year 3 - 6, ages 7 - 11). The Spelling Bee mats link to the UK National Curriculum and the No Nonsense Spelling scheme. They can be used as stand alone resources to support the teaching and learning of spellings within school.
Each mat contains a set of words that cover the spelling rules that must be taught within that key stage/ year group. There are ‘golden’ or ‘honey’ words that are directly from the statutory word list for the year group.
The aim is that the mats help focus teaching and learning. Over a term, the children will learn the words both in school and as homework. They will be regularly ‘quizzed’ on 5 - 10 of the words to test recall and identify words or spelling rules that may need further coverage. At the end of the term, all of the words on the mat will be tested across a few days. This will identify gaps in learning, spelling rules that need to be revisited and further opportunities for application.
The mats can be bought for individual year groups or as one bundle, saving money.
